Under the direction and supervision of Sonya Olson and an additional program life skills educator, the summer life skills educator assistant will perform tasks related to the support of the instruction, enrichment and supervision of members. A desire and passion for working with young, special needs adults is essential in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with the preparation and modification of materials, enrichment activities and special projects.
• Perform positive behavior support and management for members.
• Willingness to go offsite for member field trips and learning opportunities.
• Work with members and instructors on specific learning tasks and objectives in a productive and helpful manner, specific to each member’s individual needs.
• Observe strict confidentiality regarding member and personnel information.
• Adapt to a variety of working situations and learn new skills.
• Demonstrate professionalism through conduct and punctuality.
• Participate in special events benefiting the foundation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Demonstrate aptitude for the work to be completed.

Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations
• Valid Kansas State Driver’s License
• Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate (or willingness to secure a certificate)
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit and occasionally crouch or kneel. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 20 pounds.
